  • What is AlumTalks?

AlumTalks is all about content driven recruiting:

For students, AlumTalks is an alternative (or a complement) to traditional recruiting mechanisms like career fairs and information sessions. Instead of trying to be sold on opportunities by company representatives and marketing materials, we expose students to real stories about real people who are willing to share their career narrative with our community. For premium account holders, we identify alums at the student's target companies, and put them in touch for informational interviews.

For companies, AlumTalks is a great way to get more exposure for the employer brand. Instead of sending employees to campuses for career fairs, they get a lasting presence on AlumTalks and are periodically getting matched with students for informational interviews. This avoids the awkward conversations and hasty decisions about who belongs in the 'yes' pile or 'no' pile, and improves candidate response rate while minimizing cost per hire.

For advertisers, we have some space on each profile for display ads if and only if they are relevant to career progression. We love to work with advertising partners such as Kaplan Test Prep and Social Finance because they are helping our audience take steps to further their education and career.
